This development highlights new parameters that can be studied by using free oscillation mode in dynamic testing of elastomers, such as G” (loss modulus) and G’ (storage modulus) in shear as well as E” and E’ in compression mode respectively.
Using DMYO-V in rubber testing, technicians can evaluate samples and their parameters at a critical dynamic condition (the natural frequency). It allows them to simulate lifetime conditions of the end product in a few seconds.
